🧾 Missing Your Receipt? Here’s How We Can Still Help

Don’t Panic — We Have Workarounds (Most of the Time)

It happens all the time: You bought a tool months (or years) ago, and now it’s acting up… but you can’t find the receipt.

Good news — at Tool Beast, we don’t turn you away. We start with a free assessment and use everything we can to help determine your tool’s eligibility for warranty repair.

Here’s how it works:

🔍 1. We Look at the Serial Number or Date Code

Most tools have a date code or serial number stamped on the housing or printed on a label. These codes tell us when the tool was manufactured — and sometimes even the day it was built.

What we can do with that info:

  • Estimate if it’s still within the warranty period

  • Use it as a backup when the receipt is missing

  • Confirm eligibility based on brand-specific rules

🛠️ For example:

  • Milwaukee serial numbers include the year and week of production

  • RIDGID uses a factory code + production date built into the serial

  • DeWALT has a date code or sticker on most tools

📦 2. We Check for Online Registration (When Applicable)

Some brands offer longer warranties only if the tool was registered online — even without a receipt.

If you created an account with:

  • RIDGID (for Lifetime Service Agreement)

  • Makita (to extend the standard warranty)

  • RYOBI (to track tools)

…we can often look up your registration and use that as proof of coverage.

Not registered? We can still assess the tool and give you your options — but unregistered tools may default to a shorter warranty window.

🧰 3. If It’s Not Covered, We’ll Still Give You a Quote — No Pressure

If we determine the tool is out of warranty, or the failure isn’t covered (e.g. wear and tear or damage), we’ll still:

  • Diagnose the issue for free

  • Send you a repair estimate

  • Wait for your approval before doing any work

There are no surprise charges. No pressure to proceed. And you’ll always be in the loop.

✅ Bottom Line

While a receipt is the best way to guarantee warranty coverage, it’s not the only way we can help.

At Tool Beast:

  • We’ll never charge for an assessment

  • We’ll always try to verify coverage on your behalf

  • We’ll give you honest guidance — even if it’s not a warranty repair
